Strategy competition & a new look
A complete new look — and a place to compete
5MinuteBot is being rebuilt from the interface up. The new design puts your strategy at the centre instead of burying it in a settings page, and adds something the platform has never had: a way to see how your rules stack up against everyone else's.
Right now, tuning a strategy is a solitary exercise. You pick your thresholds, you run the bot, and you find out weeks later whether your numbers were any good. There is no reference point — no way to know whether a 53% win rate is excellent, ordinary, or quietly below what everyone else is managing on the same markets.
The competition changes that. Same markets, same 5-minute windows, same conditions for everyone — the only variable is the strategy you built.
Compete on the same markets, at the same time
Every 5MinuteBot user trades the same Polymarket 5-minute crypto markets — BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE and BNB — in the same windows. That makes it an unusually fair comparison: nobody wins by finding a quieter market or a better entry hour that no one else could have traded.
What separates two traders is the thing that should separate them — the rules they wrote. Thresholds, price bands, sizing, which direction they allow, when they sit out.
The leaderboard is designed to reward that rather than reward a big bankroll. Ranking by raw dollars would just tell you who deposited the most, so placement is based on percentage return alongside how many trades that return is built on. A trader up 40% across 300 windows has shown something. A trader up 40% across four windows has shown you a coin flip.
Because a number on its own tells you nothing
Five-minute crypto markets resolve close to a coin flip, and the market prices them that way deliberately. That makes it genuinely hard to tell a real edge from a lucky week — and easy to talk yourself into a strategy that a random sequence would have produced anyway.
Comparison is the cheapest defence against that. If a hundred strategies run the same windows and yours sits mid-table, that is worth knowing early, before you scale it up. If it sits at the top across a serious number of trades, that is worth knowing too.
The open strategies make it more useful still. Instead of guessing at what works, you get to read what other people actually did, and test it against your own results.
Leaderboard placement reflects past results on live markets and is not a prediction of future performance. 5MinuteBot is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Polymarket. Trading prediction markets carries risk, including loss of the capital involved. This is not financial advice.
Rolling out with the redesign
The competition arrives alongside the new interface rather than bolted onto the current one. We would rather ship it once it is properly built than rush a leaderboard nobody trusts the numbers on.
If you already run a strategy, nothing you have configured is going away — your settings carry across, and you will be asked what you want shared before anything is.
In the meantime, the bot runs as it always has. If you have not built a strategy yet, now is a reasonable time to start tuning one.
Build your strategy now so it is ready when the leaderboard opens.
